World's Leading Destination 2019

Tourism continues to be the strongest brand image of Portugal, which has just won the "Oscar" for the World's Leading Destination, for the third consecutive year, at the World Travel Awards (WTA) ceremony, which took place this Thursday in Muscat, capital of Oman.

Portugal won 13 "tourism awards" in 2019, as the World Travel Awards are known - which also included the election of Lisbon as "World's Leading City Break Destination", of Madeira as "World's Leading Island Destination", or the Paiva walkways as "World's Leading Adventure Tourism Destination".
